Ghana Premier league heavyweight, Asante Kotoko are reportedly considering to retain deputy skipper Emmanuel Gyamfi.
The speedy winger was part of players to leave the Ghana Premier league powerhouse despite impressive form last season.[ads2]
The 26-year old was reported to have concluded talks with the Asante Kotoko management over possible contract termination with about nine months left on his contact.
But reports murmuring reveal that some board members of Asante Kotoko have stepped in, kicking against the management decision of terminating the contract of the speedy winger.[ads3]
It was reported that Gyamfi has agreed to join Aduana Stars should he leave Kotoko but it seems the move will not materialized as Kotoko have reportedly decided to rescind decision of sacking the player.
Gyamfi despite his recent inner struggles, made 35 appearances in all competitions for the Porcupine Warriors having contributed 6 goals; netting 5 and providing just an assist in the 2020/21 season.[ads4]
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have terminated the contract of midfielder Abdul Latif Anabila, goalkeeper Felix Annan, Wahab Adams, Augustine Okrah and Naby Keita.
The Porcupines have included seven new additions for the upcoming league season which includes Maxwell Agyemang, Richmond Lamptey, Clinton Opoku, Isaac Oppong, Samuel Appiah, Richard Boadu, Samuel Boateng and Augustine Agyapong.[ads5]
