Asante Kotoko Management have chosen the Accra Sports Stadium as home ground for the rest of the ongoing 2019/2020 season.
The Executive Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei earlier on revealed that works have begun on Adako Jachie to serve as their home venue, but after careful consideration have chosen the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to the General Manager of Kotoko Nana Akwasi Gyambibi, the decision to move their home ground from the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi follows the closure of the venue by the National Sports Authority.
Nana Akwasi Gyambibi was optimistic that the switch would inure to the advantage of the club as they chase Premier League and FA glories this season.
“The Accra Sports Stadium and our huge support base in Accra have always served us well, and we believe strongly that this time would be indifferent.”
“We are looking forward to seeing our fans from in and around the Greater Accra Region fill the stands when we start off with Bechem United next week.”

In a related development, Management has again selected the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi for the upcoming 1|64 MTN FA Cup clash with Asokwa Deportivo.
Nana Akwasi Gyambibi indicated that their FA Cup home venue would also be changed to Accra once they progress after the upcoming fixture.
