Ghana Premier League powerhouse Asante Kotoko are close to landing the service of Stephen Amankona.
According to source, Kotoko have reached a deal with Berekum Chelsea for the service of the ace goal poacher who is bent on joining the Porcupine Warriors.[ads2]
Asante Kotoko have also concluded a personal agreement with Amankona, pending medicals and official announcement.
Amankona was on the wishlist of numerous clubs including the reigning Ghana Premier league champions Hearts of Oak but Kotoko have been able to land the attacker ahead of the upcoming league season.[ads3]
He is expected to be announced as Asante Kotoko newest signing after already landing the signatures of eleven new players.
Amankona was spectacular for Berekum Chelsea last season which has attracted keen interest from the two most glamours clubs in the country.
He was sensational and undoubtedly one of the best players in the league having scored 15 goals in all competitions in the 2020-21 season coupled with 7 assists, alongside three man-of-the-match awards.[ads5]
