Asante Kotoko have stopped their goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim from joining the Black Stars camp for the four-nation tournament in Japan.
Ghana will be participating in the four-nation tournament in the Asian continent comprising of Japan, Chile and Tunisia.
The tournament slated for June 10-14, 2022 is to serve as preparation for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Danlad Ibrahim was invited by coach Otto Addo to join the Black Stars camp for the Japan trip after goalkeeper Richard Ofori sustained a hamstring injury.
He was to join the Black Stars camp alongside Daniel Afriyie Barnieh of Hearts of Oak and Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah.
Okrah has rejected the call-up after being dropped from the initial squad for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central African Republic.
Afriyie Barnieh has honoured the invitation and currently on his way to Japan after also missing out of the AFCON qualifiers.
But latest reports in the local media indicate that Asante Kotoko have prevented Danlad Ibrahim from joining the Black Stars camp.
It is believed that management of Asante Kotoko want Danlad Ibrahim in Ghana for the remaining Premier League matches despite the availability of second-choice goalkeeper Kwame Baah.
