Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM is reporting that Asante Kotoko have been ordered by court to pay former Hearts of Oak management member Ashford Tettey Oku Gh¢120,000.
The former Professional League Board (PLB) Chairman and his consulting firm Closemarking Consult will be receiving the money for a role they played in a case involving Asante Kotoko and Esperance de Tunis in April, 2020.
The Porcupines transferred their midfielder Kwame Bonsu to Esperance in 2019 but the Tunisian giants failed to pay the transfer fee after the deal was concluded.[ads2]
After engaging Offset Consult to recover the locked fund who failed to do so, Asante Kotoko then engaged Ashford Tettey Oku and his consulting firm to recover the fund.
And since then Asante Kotoko have failed to pay Ashford Tettey Oku and his Closemarking Consult what is due them for the role they played in recovering the fund in the aforementioned case.
Mr. Tettey Oku later dragged the case to court of which the ruling has been given, ordering the Ghana Premier league falcons to pay a whopping Gh¢120,000.00.[ads3]
According to Oyerepa FM, efforts to reach the top hierarchy at Asante Kotoko proved futile hence the decision to challenge the case in court.
And court verdict has ordered Asante Kotoko to pay the huge amount within seven days or have their bank account freezed…[ads5]
