The Appeals Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has upheld the decision of the Player Status Committee with respect to the contractual dispute between Coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor and Asante Kotoko SC.

It would be recalled that the Player Status Committee found Asante Kotoko guilty of breaches in the contract with Akonnor and asked the club to pay him compensation.
The ruling of the Appeals Committee has been communicated to both parties.
Kotoko abrogated the three-year contract of CK Akonnor in July, 2019 despite leading the team to the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup group stages and winning the NC Special Competition tier I.

Per media reports gathering, the Appeal Committee of the Ghana Football Association has ordered Kotoko to pay Akonnor a whopping GH¢189,000. 00 as a compensation.
CK Akonnor is currently the head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana.
