Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko failed to record their first win in preseason encounter against United Arab Emirates lower tier side Liwa FC.
After losing to Al-Hilal United in the first preseason game, expectations were higher this time around against Liwa FC but didn’t end as expected.[ads2]
The Porcupines were held to a 1:1 draw at the Shababal Ahli Stadium in Dubai on Sunday evening.
Kotoko were shot to the lead by new signing Stephen Amankona in the 41st minute of the match to end the first half.[ads3]
Despite dominating possession in the second half of the game, Liwa FC managed to get the equaliser at the dying embers of the match.[ads4]
It was young forward Mohamud Sheriff who snatched the parity for Liwa FC to end the game in a one-all draw at the Shababal Ahli Stadium in Dubai.
