Ghana Premier League powerhouse, Asante Kotoko have written to former coach Maxwell Konadu, demanding sum of $22,800.
According to Nhyira FM, the aforementioned amount is being demanded from coach Konadu for keeping a car given to him by the club during his stay as the head coach.[ads2]
The report indicate that, coach Maxwell Konadu failed to return the official vehicle (Toyota Fortuner) after his sack from the club.
Asante Kotoko are demanding for the $22,800 cash from Maxwell Konadu for refusing to return the car from December 19, 2020 to March 5, 2021.[ads3]
This comes after reports surfaced in the media that Maxwell Konadu has reported the club to the Ghana FA’s Players and Statues Committee demanding a compensation from the club after his contract was terminated.
Maxwell Konadu was appointed the head coach of Asante Kotoko in December, 2019 after the sacking of Norwegian Kjetil Zachariassen.[ads4]
His second term at the club didn’t end successfully as he got fired as the head coach of the Ghana Premier League powerhouse in December, 2020 due to the club’s poor performance in the league season.
His sacking came as very surprising to many because the club was playing in the CAF Champions League preliminary round then and needed to gather all concentration towards the competition.
He is currently unattached after being sacked by Asante Kotoko in December, 2020…[ads5]
