Asante Kotoko supporters have descended heavily on former Hearts of Oak midfielder Kofi Abanga.
Kofi Abanga has been pummeled by the supporters of the Ghana Premier League record holders following his recent comment that he will play for the club if only Kotoko can pay him GH¢3000 as monthly salary.

As reported by www.kyfilla.com, the 32-year old midfielder on Kumasi-based Silver FM was astonished about the salaries of the Asante Kotoko players which was making rounds in the local media, stating it’s huge for a player to pocket GH¢3000 in the Ghana Premier League monthly and he is ready to sign for Kotoko only if they can pay him GH¢3000 as salary.
This didn’t go down well for some Asante Kotoko players who believe Kofi Abanga’s comment is uncalled for.

It is believed that, Kofi Abanga has gotten the nerves of Kotoko supporters because the midfielder snubbed them for their bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak at a time the Porcupines needed him the most when he was at his prime.
Abanga almost joined Asante Kotoko from Aduana Stars but snubbed them at the last-minute for Hearts of Oak.
