FC Koln winger, Kingsley Schindler has received a late call-up to the Black Stars for Angola double-header in the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.[ads2]
The German-born Ghanaian footballer has joined the Black Stars camp as replacement for injured Tariq Lamptey.
This becomes a debut call-up for Schindler who has been a core figure for FC Koln this season in the German Bundesliga with 20 appearances.
The 29-year old has already arrived at the Black Stars camp to prepare for the Angola games.[ads3]
Meanwhile players like Abdul Manaf Nurudeen, Joseph Wollacott, Alexander Djiku, Denis Odoi, Kingsley Schindler, Patrick Kpozo, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Andre Ayew, Joseph Painstil, Ransford Yeboah, Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, Jordan Ayew, Mohammed Salisu, Majeed Ashimeru and Edmund Addo are all in camp.
Ghana will host Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on March 23, 2023 before traveling to Luanda for the reverse fixture on March 27, 2023.
Ghana is a joint top of the Group E table with 4 points from two games following a 3-0 win over Madagascar and a 1-1 draw with Central African Republic in June last year.[ads4]
