Karela United continued their home invincibility by defeating Legon Cities FC 2:0 at the Cosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Pride and Passion defeated Legon Cities FC to keep hold of their top four slot and also close the gap between them and league leaders Hearts of Oak who face Medeama tonight.
Karela United went into the game without their topscorer and talisman Diawisie Taylor who went to the Ghana U23 camp for the Asian tour.
Despite the absence of Diawisie Taylor, the Ayinase-based club managed to defeat star studded Legon Cities FC outfit to secure the three maximum points.
A penalty goal from midfield dynamo Umar Bashir and a beautiful effort from Richard Berko ensured Karela United accumulate the three maximum points from Legon Cities FC.
The defeat also saw Legon Cities impressive run come to an end after five games.[ads5]
