Asante Kotoko players have rejected the management decision to slash down their salaries by forty percent to support the club in this Coronavirus period.
The General Manager of Porcupine Warriors, Nana Akwasi Gyambibi Coker earlier announced that, the management of the club have tasked the head coach Maxwell Konadu to convince the players to accept a pay cut since football activities in the country has been put on hold due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

He later confirmed that, the playing body led by skipper Felix Annan have accepted a forty percent pay-cut following an interactions with head coach Maxwell Konadu.
But news just coming in, reveals that the players have opposed a pay-cut after receiving a communique from the management team.

According to Kumasi based Oyerepa FM, the players are also insisting not to accept a thirty percent pay-cut which was proposed by management in the communique sent to the players.

This has forced the management of the Asante Kotoko to withdraw their decision to slash down the salaries of the players.
Asante Kotoko players are still on break as the league season has been suspended due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
