The spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Henry Asante Twum has said Black Stars goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott will be available for Angola clash on Thursday, March 23, 2023.[ads2]
The enterprising netminder couldn’t last the entire minutes of the training session on Tuesday after picking an injury.
Wollacott had the goalposts fall on him as a result of a heavy wind and had to be taken off the pitch for medical attention.[ads3]
Speaking on Kumasi-based Wontumi TV/Radio, Henry Asante Twum indicated that Wollacott will be ready for the game but it for the coaches to decide whether he will start the game or not.
“He [Wollacott] was feeling some minor pains on his toe but after medical attention he is expected to be part of the final training. He will be ready for the game but I don’t know whether he will start or not”, he said.[ads4]
Ghana will host Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on March 23, 2023 before traveling to Luanda for the reverse fixture on March 27, 2023.
