Crystal Palace midfielder, Jeffrey Schlupp has reportedly been dropped from Ghana’s final squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which starts later this month.[ads2]
The 29-year old was named in the 55-man provisional list announced by the Ghana FA last Friday.
The former Leicester City midfielder was highly tipped to make the Black Stars final squad for the Qatar trip due to his impeccable form for Crystal Palace in the English Premier league this season.[ads3]
Schlupp has made 13 appearances for Crystal Palace this season.
He has joined the likes of Majeed Ashmeru, Joseph Paintsil, Felix Afena-Gyan, Danlad Ibrahim among others who have been dropped from the Ghana final squad for the mundial.[ads4]
Meanwhile, coach Otto Addo is expected to name his final squad on November 10,2022.
The final 26 players are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi on November 14 for Ghana’s final preparations where the team will play Switzerland in a friendly on November 17 before heading to Qatar.
Ghana is in group H of the World Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.[ads5]
