Asante Kotoko forward Kwame Opoku has urged the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to improve the branding of the Ghana Premier League.
According to Opoku, the Ghana Premier League has enough quality and when branded well, can be compared to leagues in and outside the continent.
“I do not agree to the notion that Ghanaian players or clubs do not play beautiful football”, Opoku told Kotoko Express.

“The players here are very good. It is the league that needs to improve in branding. Our games are nice and competitive and can be compared to a lot of countries in and out of Africa. Authorities only need to find a way to package the league well.”
Asked how that should be done, Kwame Opoku said: “There are people who are trained in that field. We see a lot of them doing a lot of work for corporate institutions. We need to get such people to help.”
