The Chief Executive Officer of DataBank Ghana, Mr. Kwadwo Addai-Mensah has denied interest in Asante Kotoko CEO job.
The astute banker has been heavily linked to the Asante Kotoko CEO job after reports were rife in the media space that Nana Yaw Amponsah will no longer be given the job after meeting the team’s Board Members for interviews.

Though he couldn’t denied his love for the Ghana Premier League record holders, Mr. Addai Mensah believes he doesn’t have the requisite requirements to mount the vacant position in the club.
“I am not interested in the vacant Kotoko CEO job and I don’t think I will ever be interested in that position because I think there are a lot of people with vast experience in that field more than I do”, he told Ashh FM.

“The fact that I am successful at the banking field does not mean I will succeed as a club CEO and I think Kotoko should go in for people with in-depth knowledge in the running of football to occupy that position but I must say I’m grateful to be linked to such a huge platform”, he added.
Sharing his opinion about the newly formed Asante Kotoko Board, Mr. Kwadwo Addai Mensah said, “On the issue of the board, I will say we have had board upon board and yet nothing has changed.
“The challenge is we don’t look for people who understands the rules of the game very well checking from the newly constituted board, only Mrs. Evelyn Nsiah Asare who happens to be in the game, the rest are all from other field.
“If Kotoko want to be successful, I think His Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu II should look for company like Fenway Sports Group (FSG) of Liverpool and Fayernood partnership with WAFA whose main activities are sports so that they can run the club than forming individual board always”, he concluded.
