Coach Ibrahim Tanko has denied reports circulating that, he is on the verge of taking over the Hearts of Oak coaching job.
There were reports in the media that, the former Black Stars assistant coach has held discussions with the leadership of the Ghana Premier League giant for the role which is already occupied by Edward Nii Odoom.

The earlier reports suggested that, Ibrahim Tanko and former Black Stars skipper Stephen Appiah are in line for the coaching role after crunch meeting with the management team.
However, Ibrahim Tanko has denied the reports, indicating that he has not had any meeting with Hearts of Oak management and the news must be disregarded.

“There’s no iota of truth in it and so must be disregarded. I am completely in the dark over what I am hearing. I have not had any discussions with Hearts of Oak and so please disregard it”, Tanko told Saddick Adams.
