Astute Ghanaian coach, Abdul Yusif Basigi has said he still holds the position as the technical director for the Hasaacas male team.
The former Black Princesses gaffer is currently the head coach for the female side of the club, Hasaacas Ladies, qualifying the team to the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions league.[ads2]
According to the CAF License A coaching certificate holder, he has been absent from Hasaacas matches due to his busy schedules with Hasaacas Ladies as they prepare for the upcoming Champions league.
“I’m still in charge of Hasaacas as the technical director, but I have been absent due to busy schedules with the ladies team [Hasaacas Ladies] and I promised to give the male team my attention after the Champions League”, Basigi said during an interview with Takoradi-based Ahoto FM.[ads3]
Coach Yusif Basigi made history with Hasaacas Ladies last season by winning the Ghana Premier league, FA Cup and the Super Cup to complete a domestic treble.
He led the club to win the maiden edition of the WAFU Women’s Cup held in Ivory Coast months ago after annihilating Rivers Angels from Nigeria in the finals.
Considering his vast experienced, coach Yusif Basigi is expected to help Hasaacas head coach Joe Agyemang Jnr in the upcoming division one league to enable the team qualify for the Ghana Premier league next season.[ads5]
