The gifted Ghanaian forward Antoine Semennyo has revealed something startling about his football career: his young coach made him want to give up playing the game.
Like any human being, Semenyo was discouraged by his own youth coach because he could not see him achieving his goal of playing football at the greatest level. The fiery forward, who has drawn a lot of interest from Premier League and European elite teams, told the tale to young football players who were considering giving up due to discouragement from others.
According to the forward, his coach at the time did not think highly of him and even told him that he was not good enough to play where he is now. Instead of allowing the coach’s words to consume him, he overcame all obstacles to realize his full potential.
