German-based Ghanaian striker Braydon Manu has said he didn’t merit his recent invitation to the Black Stars.
The 24-year old had a late call-up to the Black Stars following multiple factors that had led regulars unavailable for qualifiers against Ethiopia and South Africa.[ads2]
The SV Darmstadt forward was an unused sub in the two world cup qualifying games against Ethiopia and South Africa.
But in an interview, Braydon Manu has said he was surprised of his invitation to Black Stars because he has not played that much for his club side.[ads3]
“I was surprised because at first, I thought it was fake. I didn’t believe it. First of all, I had a call from the technical director.”
“I was happy but still I was like how? Because to be honest I had not played that much to say that they should call me because I’ve proved nothing yet”, he added.[ads5]
