Opoku, 24, sojourned from State League with All-Stars United in Maryland in the United States after stints with Eleven Wise and Karela United and later penned a 3 year deal with Asante Kotoko.
“I chose Kotoko because of Coach Maxwell Konadu, he’s a fantastic person, he’s a good person to work with. I think I have realized that dream to play for Asante Kotoko. It won’t end there and I’m not satisfied; I will push up and play to the topmost level outside.

“It’s normal, I’m not offended when people criticize the Asante Kotoko, when I feel offended it’ll affect my psyche so when I hear those things, I take it as one of those things” – William Opoku Mensah speaking to Solomon Amankwah of Kyzz FM.
