It was an eyesore at the Nana Agyeman Badu II Park on Wednesday when Aduana Stars and Asante Kotoko played the first forty-five minutes of their clash in Dormaa with ten players each.
Farouk Mohammed of Aduana Stars and Martin Antwi of Kotoko who were among the starting line-ups of both clubs sat at the touchline of the pitch for the first forty-five minutes.
The two players were never shown the exit by the center referee but due to some unpardonable reasons have to stay at the touchline still the blast of the first half whistle.
The incident has sparked controversies with most pundits and lovers of the local game condemning the actions of the two clubs.
However, the Chairman of Asante Kotoko supporters body in Dormaa (B.A.R.C.C) Mr. Richard Asante popularly known as Dr. Dinpa has revealed that he personally advised the club to start the game against Aduana Stars with ten players’.
According to him, the advise was given to the team to ensure that Aduana Stars striker Yahaya Mohammed is on the pitch before the Kotoko last player.
“The advice came based on what we heard and saw, but we thank God for the scoreline because It could have resulted in something else If we (Kotoko) won the game”, Mr. Asante told Otec FM.

“I told them (Kotoko) that Yahaya Mohammed always comes on the pitch with their (Aduana Stars) black magic ‘juju’ so they should make sure and see to it that he is on the pitch before our last player also enters.
It was also reported that, Kotoko pitched camp in Berekum ahead of the game but the team delayed on their way to Dormaa and even changed the route from Berekum to Dormaa Ahenkro for the clash, on that too Mr. Asante said that, “I had no idea on why they delayed when coming to Dormaa, I was even worried and wondering why the route from Berekum to Dormaa was changed by the management.
Despite the hullabaloos, Kotoko were pipped 1:0 by Aduana Stars courtesy a last minute strike from Samuel Bioh.
