Ghana Premier league powerhouse, Hearts of Oak are considering to adopt Cape Coast Sports Stadium as new home venue in the ongoing CAF Champions league campaign.
This comes following a reported fine from CAF over the bad nature of the pitch after preliminary round game against Guinean outfit CI Kamsar.[ads2]
Reports in the media space divulge that the reigning Ghana Premier league champions have been slapped with a $5000 fine by the continent football governing body for using the poor Accra Sports Stadium pitch against CI Kamsar.
With this, the management of the Accra-based club are considering to move their home games in the CAF Champions League to the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.[ads3]
The Phobians, after eliminating CI Kamsar in the preliminary round of the Champions league, will face Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic in the final. round before making it to the group stage of the competition.
Hearts of Oak will host the first-leg in Ghana next month before traveling to Morocco for the second-leg.[ads5]
