The reigning Ghana Premier league champions need to beat Wydad Athletic convincingly at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday to make the reverse fixture a mere formality.
And Hendricks who played for Asante Kotoko in the CAF Champions League sometime back has advised the Hearts of Oak defenders to avoiding unnecessary fouls.[ads3]
According to the veteran footballer, it will be a disaster for the Phobians to concede avoidable infringements that could enable Wydad Athletic to score in the first leg.
“Hearts of Oak had a blistering form last season and if they want to qualify for the group stage, they must beat WAC convincingly in Accra. They should avoid unnecessary fouls that can give WAC a goal on Sunday. The defenders should be careful”, Hendricks told ace sportscaster Stephen Kwame Yeboah in an interview on Takoradi-based Ahoto FM on Thursday, October 14, 2021.[ads5]
