Ghana Premier league powerhouse, Hearts of Oak have announced that midfielder Salifu Ibrahim will be available for JS Saoura clash in Algeria.
The talented midfielder couldn’t last the entire ninety minute when Hearts of Oak defeated JS Saoura 2:0 in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup playoff round in Accra last weekend.[ads2]
Ibrahim picked up a knock and had to be substituted after scoring the team’s first goal in the titanic game at the Accra Sports Stadium last Sunday.
But the former Eleven Wonders talisman will be available for the second leg game in Algeria on Sunday, according to a statement from Hearts of Oak.[ads3]
“He overstretched the groin ligament and had to be substituted on Sunday in our match against JS Saoura of Algeria. Thankfully the doctors have worked on him and he his ok now. He is currently with the team preparing for Sunday’s assignment”, Hearts of Oak statement reads.[ads4]
Hearts of Oak are going into the second leg game in Algeria this weekend with a slim advantage after beating JS Saoura 2:0 in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Should Hearts of Oak eliminate JS Saoura, the Phobians will qualify to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.[ads5]
