Sekondi Hasaacas FC has come clear on the decision by the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council to invalidate the 2019/2020 season.
The Club that houses both Division One League side, Hasaacas FC and Women’s Premier League, Hasaacas Ladies FC revealed the decision is a hard knocks to the club’s ambitions kicks against the development of the football economy.
The Sekondi-Takoradi-based side added that for another year the GFA and its members will have to restart and has not been able to start and end a football season.

Hasaacas Fc has made a huge mark on pushing to the elite division with just 2 points adrift from the summit of the league log.
Also, the Women’s Premier League side, Hasaacas Ladies was atop its peers in the race for a 5th league title.

Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club has learnt the decision of the Ghana Football Association’s Executive Council to nullify the 2019/2020 Division One League and Women’s Premier League seasons on Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

The decision by the Executive Council to invalidate the season is a hard knock to the progress of the game, has a huge economic impediment on the football economy and it’s a major blow to Sekondi Hasaacas Football Club.
It is a difficult time knowing football cannot continue and also not being able to satisfy our calendars and sponsors for another time. Football upon all its impact shouldn’t be on a back-burner.
To the hardworking players let’s continue to work hard and push the dreams of returning back to the field stronger whenever that is deemed ideal to play football.
To the Council Members and every other person who turned attention towards the cause for the season, this is the opportunity to say thank you!

This decision gives us little room to move, and by so express profound gratitude to all partners and prospective partners that in diverse ways committed and contributed to the nullified 2019/2020 Football Season.
