Ghana Premier League outfit Great Olympics have parted ways with goal poacher Emmanuel Clottey.

According to Mr. Commodore, the contract of the former Ghana Premier League topscorer was terminated after his case with Asante Kotoko and Esperance de Tunis came up.

It will be recalled that, FIFA slapped Asante Kotoko a fine of $240,000 over the transfer of Emmanuel Clottey from Esperance which was proven illegitimate because he had an unfinished contract with the Tunisian giant.
“Yes what he told you is true. We terminated the contract when the case arose.
“On paper it is terminated, we’ve signed a termination [with him]”, Mr. Commodore confirmed.
This means that Emmanuel Clottey is now a free agent, free from litigation, ban or contractual binding.
Emmanuel Clottey won the Ghana Premeir League title with Berekum Chelsea in the 2010-2011 season and finished the 2006/2007 league season as top scorer, scoring 14 goals for Great Olympics.
