The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season kick start in few days to come with the euphoria getting higher and higher each and every blessed day.
The likes of Asante Kotoko, Medeama Sporting Club, Karela United, Elmina Sharks, Great Olympics, Aduana Stars Dreams FC, Hearts of Oak, AshantiGold Sporting Club and the others are having a good preparations and making huge signings.
Though the likes of Asamoah Gyan, Abednego Tetteh, Nuru Sulley, Razak Abalora have made a return to the premier league, there are ten players who were impressive last season but will not participate in the forthcoming season.[ads2]
These players are not injured neither banned from partaking in the league season but rather have secured moves abroad.
Kyfilla.com have gathered ten of these players who were exceptional for their various clubs last season but will not participate in the forthcoming Ghana Premier League season.
1.Prince Opoku AgyemanÂ
The former Medeama Sporting Club striker has secured a move to South African Premier Soccer League outfit Cape Town City FC after an impressive form last season. He was Medeama SC topscorer last season and was competing for the topscorers award as well.
Opoku Agyemang bagged eleven goals in thirteen matches for Medeama Sporting Club in the Ghana Premier League last season before it was truncated due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
2. Nana Kofi Babil
Another prospect that will be missed in the forthcoming league season is Nana Kofi Babil. The youngster left Medeama Sporting Club after the league season to Austrian side SCR Altach.
Kofi Babil was the second topscorer for Medeama Sporting Club in the last league season.
3. Victorien Adebayor
The Inter Allies skipper has joined Danish side HB Koge following his incredible form last season.
Adebayor was a top figure in the Ghana Premier League last season, scoring twelve beautiful goals for Inter Allies in just thirteen matches.
4. Elvis Kyei Baffour
The Liberty Professionals attacker will not take part in the 2020/21 league season after securing a move to Tunisian side AS Soliman.
Kyei Baffour who was a core figure in the Liberty Professionals team has joined the Tunisian side on a three-year deal after passing a mandatory medicals.
5. Mubarak Alhassan
Mubarak Alhassan is another talent to miss the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season after leaving Liberty Professionals to Spanish laliga side Granada.
The 18-year old midfielder has joined the Spanish side following his impressive form last season.
Alhassan netted five times for Liberty Professionals with five assists in twelve games last season.
6. Zakaria Fusieni
The former Berekum Chelsea defender cum captain is among the top players that will miss the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season.
Fusieni who was heavily linked to Ghanaian clubs like Asante Kotoko and Legon Cities FC has joined Spanish Segunda B outfit San Fernando CD on a season-long loan deal with option to sign a permanent deal.
7. Kofi Kordzi
The former Hearts of Oak talisman has left the Ghana Premier League side for Qatari outfit Muaither SC following his outstanding performance last season.
Kofi Kordzi was Hearts of Oak topscorer last season, scoring six goals in thirteen matches for the club.
8. Samuel Armah
Armah has joined Albanian side KF Skenderbeu from Inter Allies after his incredible form last season.
He was Inter Allies second highest topscorer after Victorien Adebayor.
Samuel Armah scored six goals with three assists for the Tema-based club last season.
9. Benjamin Agyare
Agyare left Hearts of Oak for Albanian side FK Apolonia few months ago after his contract was terminated by the Ghana Premier League giant.
Even though Benjamin Agyare had limited playing time last season, his talent as a defender cannot be ignored.
10. Bernard Arthur
One of the talented strikers in the Ghana Premier League but underrated, Bernard Arthur will be missing the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
He has joined Albanian side FK Apolonia as a free agent after ending his stay at Hearts of Oak. He scored just a goal in five matches last season.
