Asante Kotoko host Eleven Wonders in week one of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season at the Accra Sports Stadium today.
The Porcupine Warriors will be hoping to wallop Eleven Wonders today considering the headways they made during the transfer window.
With the sponsorships deals the club is signing, a victory against Eleven Wonders is what most of the supporters of the club and football loving fans are expecting.
Here is how Asante Kotoko could line-up against Eleven Wonders;
Kwame Baah (GK): He was in an incredible form last season before the league was truncated. Despite the pressure and presence of skipper Felix Annan, Kwame Baah started earning the love of some Asante Kotoko supporters and this time around looks favorite to start ahead of first-choice goalkeeper Felix Annan.[ads2]
Samuel Frimpong (RB): Frimpong is the next available option for Asante Kotoko due to the absence of Christopher Nettey. On any other day, Nettey who is currently at the Black Stars camp preparing for the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Sudan start for Asante Kotoko but his absence means Samuel Frimpong is the perfect option to start for Asante Kotoko against Eleven Wonders today.
Imoro Ibrahim (LB): Though Asante Kotoko have signed former Atalanta BC left-back Patrick Asmah, Imoro Ibrahim looks favorite to start considering his form during the Porcupine Warriors preseason campaign.
Habib Mohammed (CB): Asante Kotoko have an avalanche of centre-backs but Habib was impressive during the club’s preseason campaign. He has become the fans favorite at the heart of Asante Kotoko defence since the last two seasons.[ads3]
Yusif Mubarik (CB): Though Abdul Ganiyu has been spectacular since returning from the lengthy injury, Mubarik partnership with Habib Mohammed in defence is written in the skies.
Sulley Muniru (DM): He joined the club not long ago but his qualities as a defensive midfielder cannot be washed out and coach Maxwell Konadu could give him the starting nod to prove why Kotoko chose to sign him over Medeama Sporting Club’s Justice Blay.
Kwame Adom Frimpong: Another player who has grew in the Asante Kotoko squad.. Adom Frimpong is likely to start in the midfield for Asante Kotoko against Eleven Wonders today.
Latif Anabila: With his experience in the domestic league, Anabila is regarded as one of the finest brand in the league, very talented and skillful and looks favorite to form a midfield trio with Kwame Adom Frimpong and Sulley Muniru.
Augustine Okrah: Okrah is one of the huge guys in the Kotoko set-up, very ambitious as an attacker and could be given a starting berth against Eleven Wonders.[ads4]
Emmanuel Gyamfi: Gyamfi is arguably one of the few players who have cemented their position in the Asante Kotoko team. He looks favorite to start today and definitely should Felix Annan be benched, Gyamfi will captain the team.
Kwame Opoku: He been in an incredible form, scoring left, right and center in Asante Kotoko preseason friendlies. Though Osman Ibrahim has not been that bad, Kwame Opoku stands favorite to lead the club today.[ads5]
