The Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani Goldstars, Mr. Kwesi Adu has stated that the club has not made contact with any coach as being speculated in the media.
There were reports that management of the newly promoted Ghana Premier league outfit have contacted some top-notch local coaches for the vacant position at the club.[ads2]
According to the reports, management of Goldtstars have begun talks with Asante Kotoko assistant coach Johnson Smith to take over the head coach role with other coaches also in mentioned.
This comes following the departure of head coach Kobina Amissah after securing them a ticket to play in next season’s Ghana Premier league.[ads3]
Speaking to Kyfilla.com, Mr. Kwesi Adu indicated that the club’s top priority is for the Ghana FA to approve their home venue for the top-flight football next season and not the appointment of a new coach.
“For now there’s nothing like that, there is no truth in what is trending in the media. Our priority now is to get an approval from the Ghana to use Duns Park for next season. We have not made contact with any coach”, he said.
“We will resume training next week and our assistant coach will lead the team until a new substantive coach is appointed, but for now we have not talked to any coach as in the media. “[ads5]
