Ashantigold Sporting Club recorded a sounding victory against Inter Allies in last match of the Ghana Premier league on Saturday afternoon.
The Miners annihilated Allies 7:0 at the Lenclay Sports Stadium in week 34 of the Ghana Premier.
It was a hatrick by young attacker Isaac Opoku Agyemang and two own goals from defender Hashmin Musah ensured the massive win.[ads2]
Before the game, Ashantigold trainer Thomas Duah made five changes to the team that drew 0-0 with Dreams FC last weekend at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi.
The likes of Amos Addai, Samed Mohammed, Amos Kofi Nkrumah, Emmanuel Owusu and Isaac Opoku Agyemang made the starting berth for Ashantigold.[ads3]
Inter Allies head coach Felix Aboagye also made four alterations to the squad that suffered a 4-2 defeat to Aduana Stars in Dawu last weekend.
Goalkeeper Danso Wiredu made the starting berth with Mohammed Kadir and Isah Ali also making the starting berth.
Opoku Agyemang shot Ashantigold to the lead in the 16th minute after connecting a cross from Seth Osei on the right.
Captain Addai doubled the lead for the home side in the 26th after goalkeeper Mensah failed to save his shot from the edge of the box.[ads4]
Opoku Agyemang scored from the spot to increase the tally before the halftime.
Addai scored again five minutes after returning from the tunnel to increase the advantage.
Opoku Agyemang completed his hatrick on the 77th minute with a fine finish before two own goals from Allies defender Musah within five minutes to give Ashantigold a sounding victory.[ads5]
