Isaac Nii Armah was with the team as their head coach but resigned for Prince Koffie who also vacate the position for Annor Walker, all these happened within space of three to four months.
But Gladson Awako who has formerly played for TP Mazembe, Phoenix Rising and other big clubs in the world believes the frequent changing of coaches was the reason behind their abysmal performances in the last season’s truncated league.[ads3]
“We were changing coaches and that didn’t help the team last season. But currently we have a good coach and people should watch out for us”, Awako said after their 2020/21 Ghana Premier League opener against Medeama Sporting Club at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Sunday where Great Olympics managed to snatch a point.[ads4]
On what culminated to the Great Olympics super performance against Medeama Sporting Club on the day, Gladson Awako said that, ” we were not settled in the early minutes of the first half and they capitalized on it and score but we were able to regrouped due to the advise from the coach and we started playing well until we had the equalizer.”
