Ghana winger, Kamaldeen Sulemana has added to a list of injury players likely to miss the FIFA World Cup in Qatar after sustaining a fresh injury.[ads2]
The 20-year old who was aiming for his debut World Cup experience in the Asian country later this month could be missing out of the tournament.
Kamaldeen was excluded from Rennes squad that played against AEK Larnaca in the final Europa League group game on Thursday night.[ads3]
Confirming the news after the game, the head coach of Rennes, Bruno Genesio stated that Kamaldeen is injured and he is hoping the player is fit before the World Cup.
“He had pain in his ankle yesterday [Wednesday], he was injured. I hope for him that he will be fine for the World Cup.”
Kamaldeen has had difficulties at Rennes since last season due to injuries but was highly tipped to make a difference in the Black Stars jersey at the mundial after news of Manchester United sending scouts to the tournament to monitor him.[ads4]
With sixteen days left to the start of the World Cup, Kamaldeen Sulemana is expected to be fit and ready for the tournament.
He has featured in 14 games this season for Stade Rennes and has scored one goal whilst providing two assists in the process.[ads5]
