Ghana defender Alexander Djiku is reportedly on the verge of joining Spanish Laliga outfit Sevilla.
Reports in Spain indicate that Sevilla have reached a personal term with the defender but yet to reach an agreement with Strasbourg.
The 27-year old is said to have agreed on a three-year deal with Sevilla after incredible form in the French Ligue I.
Newly promoted English Premier outfit Fulham are also reported to have interest in signing the former Bastia defender for the upcoming league season.
Djiku joined Strasbourg in 2019 from Caen and has since been instrumental for the side in the French top-flight league.
Since joining Strasbourg in 2019, Alexander Djiku has made 63 appearances for the club, scoring a goal as a center-back.
Aside Strasbourg, Djiku has been exceptional for Ghana at the international level, capping 15 matches since his debut in 2020.
Djiku has been a constant figure in the Ghana senior male national team, forming a solid partnership with Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey in the national team.
He was part of the Ghana squad that have qualified the country to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar after beating Nigeria in the final playoff round.
