Ghana goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi has been adjudged the best player after the first round of the 2022/23 Swiss Super League.[ads2]
The 26-year old netminder clinched the top award, beating off competitions from Cedric Itten (BSC Young Boys), David Douline (Servette FC), Koro Kone (Yverdon Sport FC) and Valon Fazliu of (FC Aarau).
Ati-Zigi has been a sensation with top-notch consistent performances since joining St Gallen in 2020 from French side FC Sochaux.[ads3]
He has featured in fourteen out of seventeen matches this season for St Gallen with 58 saves which put him in a second position as the goalkeeper with most saves in the Swiss Super League
The former Ghana U-17 goalkeeper was in posts during the Black Stars 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign in Qatar.
Even though it was his debut World Cup, Lawrence Ati-Zigi was among the best players for Ghana in the mundial.[ads4]
