The Real Tamale United managed to qualify for the next season’s Ghana Premier League with huge competition from Bofoakwa Tano and Berekum Arsenals.
The competition in the zone one was very stiffer that Real Tamale United had to wait untill the last round of matches before qualifying for the top-flight football next season.
Due to that level of competition, Emmanuel Essandoh who missed only one match as a goalkeeper for Real Tamale United in the just ended season believes the division one league is more tougher and competitive than the Ghana Premier league.[ads3]
Though the country’s football has a history that, most at times the newcomers of the Ghana Premier league find it difficult to stand on their feet, Emmanuel Essandoh believes his outfit will sail through no matter the difficulties.
Speaking on Takoradi-based Ahoto FM, Emmanuel Essandoh said that, ” I played 29 matches out of 30 this season for Real Tamale United and I think the division one league is very difficult and tougher than the Premier League and I believe definitely we will survive next season.”[ads4]
On his toughest and worse games in the just ended division one league, Emmanuel Essandoh said that, “I started my career as a goalkeeper with Great Ahantas before joining Fijai Real United [Now Swedru All Blacks] then to Skyy FC to FC Samartex before securing a deal with Real Tamale United.”
” Though we managed to qualify, I think our game against Berekum Arsenal was my best game for the season even though we lost 2:1 and against Nsoatreman was my worse game”, he added.[ads5]
