The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has rescheduled date for Hasaacas Ladies league opener against Ladystrikers.
The reigning champions were supposed to have host rivals Ladystrikers in matchday one of the 2021/22 Ghana Women’s Premier League on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Gyandu Park in Sekondi.[ads2]
But the management of Hasaacas Ladies wrote to the GFA to postpone the match, citing fatigue, serious injury situations among others as reasons for their request.
The management, in their request stated that about six players are on national assignments, and the playing body will also need enough time to rest after a busy campaign this year.[ads3]
Initially, it came out that the GFA has rejected Hasaacas Ladies request to postpone the league opener, but latest development suggest that the game has finally been rescheduled to Monday, December 20, 2021 as a result of a division one league game at the Gyandu Park on Saturday.
Hasaacas Ladies participated in six different competitions this year both locally and international levels, and were able to win five out of the six.[ads4]
Aside the Ghana Women’s Premier League, FA Cup, Super Cup and the First Lady’s Cup, Hasaacas Ladies represented Ghana at the WAFU Cup and the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Hasaacas Ladies only lost the CAF Champions League title to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa after losing 2:0 in the final.[ads5]
