Prior to the vital Women’s Africa Cup of Nations final round first leg qualifier against Namibia, GFA President Simeon-Okraku visited the Black Queens at their training facility in Accra.
The “Black Queens” need to beat the “Brave Gladiators” of Namibia over two legs to secure qualification to next year’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco.
Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Black Stars, Ama Brobey Williams, the head of women’s football at the Technical Directorate, and General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo were with President Simeon-Okraku.
The playing group and technical team were urged by President Okraku to perform well on Friday in order to secure a spot in the competition for the next year.
The match is set to begin at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 3:30 p.m.
