France legend Thierry Henry has heaped praises on Ghana international Kudus Mohammed for an amazing showdown against Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.[ads2]
Kudus on Tuesday, September 13 stole the headlines after scoring an incredible screamer against Liverpool at the Anfield Stadium in England.
The 22-year old fed on a pass from Steven Berghuis in the 27th minute and managed to outsmart Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk before putting the ball at the back of the net.
This was after Mohammed Salah had shot Liverpool to the lead in the early minutes of the game and Ajax Amsterdam were finding it very difficult to get the equaliser.[ads3]
Unfortunately for Ajax, Cameroon defender Joel Matip with a header from a corner kick snatched the victory for Liverpool in the dying embers of the game.
Reacting to the incredible display of talent by the Ghana international, Thierry Henry who is regarded as a legend in the game, having played for Arsenal and FC Barcelona said, “He came [Kudus Mohammed] from the Academy Right to Dream from Ghana and he is living the dream.”[ads4]
Kudus Mohammed is currently in a form of his life after warming the Ajax bench during the start of the league season.
The 22-year old has been able to overtake Brian Brobbey as Ajax FC center forward due to his recent spectacular form.
Kudus has now scored five goals in his last four games after Ajax denied him a move to Everton during the summer transfer window.[ads5]
