The Ghana League Clubs Association (Ghalca) is set to introduce a new competition for women football.
The competition dubbed ‘First Lady’s Cup’ has had all the necessary arrangements completed by the welfare body of the association.[ads2]
According to a statement from Ghalca sighted by Kyfilla.com, the competition has been agreed by the Executive Council and sanctioned by the Ghana Football Association.
Ghalca has also tasked ex officio member, Anita Wiredu-Minta to liaise with the appropriate authorities for the implementation of the competition.[ads3]
The competition, according to a statement from Ghalca, is being supported by the first lady of the republic Rebecca Akufo-Addo as well as the Ghana Football Association.[ads4]
