Accra-based radio station, Hot FM are reporting that FIFA has ordered USM Alger to pay Asante Kotoko €300,000 with interest over the transfer of striker Kwame Opoku.
Kotoko transferred Kwame Opoku to USM Alger in April this year on a four and half contract after his explosive performance for the club.[ads2]
The deal was reported to worth €300,000 following an agreement between the two parties but the Algerian club have failed to pay the transfer fee since April.
Kotoko then reported the case to FIFA in June, pleading with the world football governing body to order USM Alger to pay them the €300,000 transfer fee.[ads3]
FIFA, after thoroughly going through the case, has ordered USM Alger to pay the Ghana Premier league heavyweight €300,000 with interest.
Meanwhile, Kwame Opoku has scored two goals and provided two assists in his six games for the Mouloudia club since he joined.
Before joining USM Alger, he had scored nine goals in 20 matches for Asante Kotoko.[ads5]
