The Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has rated his outfit midfielder Fabio Gama as the best passer in the domestic league.
The Brazilian midfielder has been spectacular since joining the Porcupine Warriors, playing an integral role despite the team’s failure to win the Ghana Premier league this season.[ads2]
Gama has proven to be one of the best playmakers in the league but Nana Yaw Amponsah believes the passing ability of the Brazilian excite him the most and has no competitor in the league.
“Fabio Gama’s passing on our pitches, something the player is not used to was far better than any Ghanaian player I have watched this season,” Nana Yaw Amponsah told Asempa FM.[ads3]
Fabio Gama ended the Ghana Premier League season with five goals with six assists and has been nominated for Ghana Premier League player of the month for June alongside Augustine Boakye of WAFA, Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder Emmanuel Anaful and Benjamin Bernard Boateng of Elmina Sharks.[ads4]
Despite Fabio Gama exciting him with his passing abilities, Nana Yaw Amponsah rather believes goalkeeper Razak Abalora is Asante Kotoko best signing this season.
“For me our best signing of the season was Razak Abalora. I will say so because of the number of times our defence was breached and the number of times he saved us,” said Nana Yaw Amponsah.[ads5]
