Emmanuel Clottey has agreed to settle the GHS 5,000 Accra High Court Financial Division 2 ordered him to pay to Asante Kotoko on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.
Clottey took Asante Kotoko to the Accra High Court following FIFA’s ban on his wrongful signing for the Porcupine Warriors despite his contract with Tunisian side, Esperance.

Asante Kotoko signed Emmanuel Clottey in 2015 despite the attacker having a running contract with the Esperance.
Kotoko have faced a USD 180,000 fine by FIFA to be paid to Esperance following their unlawful act in 2015.
Clottey claims it’s enough damage to Asante Kotoko and he’s not going to push the case any further. He’s going to settle the GHS 5,000 charge to be paid to Asante Kotoko.

“I’m okay with the court verdict, especially because Kotoko has paid the USD 180,000[to Esperance] and so will find money to pay the GHS 5,000 – I won’t appeal” – he told Oyerepa FM.
