Elmina Sharks defeated Asante Kotoko in last match of the Ghana Premier league on Sunday afternoon.
Sharks were playing as visitors to Asante Kotoko at the Lenclay Stadium in Obuasi with much zeal to tame the Porcupines to escape relegation.[ads2]
It was a frantic game as both sides were determined to beat the other with Sharks playing for survival while Kotoko was looking for pride.
Before today’s game, Elmina Sharks had beaten Asante Kotoko in the first round at the Ndoum Sports Stadium in Elmina and were eager to make it a home and away victory.
The first half ended goalless but Sharks returned from the tunnel to score the only goal in the cagey encounter.[ads3]
Suraj Ibrahim sent a cross of which the Kotoko defence failed to deal with and falls on Alhaji Mustapha at far post who made no mistake by plotting into the net to give his side the lead after 56th minute.
