Former Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba has been eliminated from the Ivory Coast Football Association presidential election.
The 44-year old has had his deam of becoming the President of the Ivorian football federation trashed after losing woefully in the first round of the election.
Drogba only pulled 21 votes in the first round of the election, which has seen his elimination from the contest.
The two other contestants, Sory Diabate and Diallo Iddriss Yacine accumulated 59 and 50 votes respectively which means they have to go in for a second round to be able to determine who becomes of the overlord of the Ivorian football federation.
The elimination means that Drogba’s ambition of becoming the second former footballer to rule the football business of a country in the African continent after Cameroon’s Samuel Eto’o continue to remain a dream.
