The Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei has dashed each of the club’s players a whopping GH¢ 2000 for beating Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

Kotoko managed to beat arch rivals Hearts of Oak 1:2 yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Goals from Justice Blay and Naby Laryea Keita did the magic for the Porcupines with Joseph Esso pulling the consideration for Hearts of Oak.
Dr. Kwame Kyei after the game, met the players at their hotel to give them the good news, indicating that the money would be made available when they return to Kumasi.
” I came here on Saturday and promised to reward you if you won”, he told the players.

” I am back here to, first of all, congratulate you for your performance today and also to tell you to keep it up. And for this win, I am going to give each of you GHc 2, 000. The money would be made available to you when we get to Kumasi.”
Kotoko after the victory yesterday, have now accumulated twelve points in six matches beating the likes of Eleven Wonders, Legon Cities FC and Ebusua Dwarfs.
