Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim deserves to be part of the Black Stars squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to experienced Ghana netminder Fatau Dauda.[ads2]
To the former Legon Cities FC goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim played a vital role in Asante Kotoko success last season and is currently the best goalkeeper in the domestic league hence the need to be given a chance to be part of the Black Stars squad for the World Cup.
Speaking to Radio Gold in an interview, Fatau Dauda believes what Danlad Ibrahim is doing for the Black Galaxies in the CHAN qualifiers is enough to give him a call-up to the Black Stars for the 2022 World Cup.[ads3]
“I know that the goalkeeping department of the Black Stars led by Richard Kingson is working and looking at Danlad Ibrahim,” Dauda told Radio Gold.
“If they have to consider any goalkeeper apart from those playing outside the country then it should be Danlad Ibrahim.
“Of course, it’s obvious because he is our Black Galaxies number one and after the Black Stars, the next is the Black Galaxies.”[ads4]
He however entreated the budding goalkeeper to continue with his fine-form to entice the Black Stars technical team headed by coach Otto Addo for a call-up to the World Cup.
“It will depend on what the coaches want from the goalkeeper and that is why I’m advising him on how to play.
“He can be in the team if the coaches want him and I’m very sure that if they can qualify most of the players will be at the World Cup,” Fatau Dauda said.[ads5]
