Renowned female football administrator, Evelyn Nsiah Asare has implored facilitators of the various Ghana women’s premier league clubs to ensure strict adherence to the Coronavirus protocols ahead of the new league season.
The 2020/21 Ghana Women’s League season kick start this weekend with some interesting fixtures to look out for in match day one.
The league has been divided into two zones (Northern and Southern sector) with about sixteen clubs to compete for the giant trophy.[ads4]
With the euphoria getting higher as the new league season beckons, Mrs Evelyn Nsiah Asare has urged the clubs to adhere to the Coronavirus safety protocols as the virus still hangs around.
“What I will say is that, the clubs should adhere to the Covid-19 protocols because the disease is real”, she said in an interview on Service Radio in Sunyani.
She also seized the opportunity and called on cooperate bodies to support the women’s league clubs financially since the clubs lack support.
Concluding the interview, the Chief Executive Officer of Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies FC also urged referees to do their maximum best in the league season as Ghana will have to represent a deserving representatives for the CAF inter-club competitions.[ads2]
“I will plead with the referees to protect our players, they [Referees] have been provided with everything. Ghana needs a deserving representatives for Africa next season”, she added.
