Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM is reporting that former Asante Kotoko head coach, Maxwell Konadu has filed a complaint against the club at the Players and Coaches Statues Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
According to the report, the former Asante Kotoko attacker is demanding for compensation from the club after termination of his contract.[ads2]
Maxwell Konadu was appointed the head coach of Asante Kotoko in December, 2019 after the sacking of Norwegian Kjetil Zachariassen.
His second term at the club didn’t end successfully as he got fired as the head coach of the Ghana Premier League powerhouse in December, 2020 due to the club’s poor performance in the league season.[ads3]
His sacking came as very surprising to many because the club was playing in the CAF Champions League preliminary round then and needed to gather all concentration towards the competition.
But after three months of his sacking, reports indicate that coach Maxwell Konadu has filed a complaint against the team, demanding for some compensations.[ads4]
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have also been ordered by the Players and Statues Committee of the Ghana FA to pay a sum of Gh¢36,000 in the next six working days to former players Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Stephen Ayiku Tetteh, Abass Mohammed and Evans Owusu for wrongful termination of their contracts or face the wrath of the Committee…[ads5]
