Ghana head coach, CK Akonnor has named 30-man squad for upcoming World Cup qualifiers in September this year.
Ghana will play Ethiopia on September 3 before playing South Africa three days after in the qualifiers.
To begin preparations, coach Akonnor has invited 30 players to begin camping with old faces like Joseph Aidoo of Celta Vigo, John Boye, Kassim Nuhu and Nicholas Opoku all missing from the list.[ads2]
The likes of Mubarak Wakaso, Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Jonathan Mensah, Samuel Owusu made the list as Ghana seek to win the two matches to boost confidence ahead of the main tournament in Qatar.

Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Strum Graz striker Kelvin Yeboah have been handed their debut call-up.[ads3]
On the local scene, Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah, Abdul Ganiyu of Asante Kotoko, Philemon Baffour of Dreams FC and Steadfast FC talisman Abdul Fatawu Issahaku were the players to get invitations.[ads4]
Injured Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has also been handed invitation despite Arsenal announcing that he will fully recuperate at the end of August this year.
